IT-skills for the Elderly

Together with the largest Danish organization for the elderly, KMD has launched several E-learning programs to support the organizations work to provide it-skills to the elderly.

More than 300.000 Danes above the age of 65 have never been online and as such does not take part in the possibilities provided online by both the private and government sector.

The programs cover both tablet and pc use and focus on the basic capabilities necessary to be able to access and take advantage of the different aspects of a digital life. KMD designs both the technological and the educational part of the program, and Dane Age volunteer tutors provide the content.

Since the launch of the programs in 2012 more than 140.000 elderly have been through the pc-program and it is expected that the tablet program, launched in September 2016, will reach similar numbers.
